What was the last image, object or artifact that excited you? How, why and when did you encounter this
the last image that excited me was an illustrated piece by Adam Hayes, an illustrated map using bright colours and lots of different shapes to represent different objects. This gave me inspiration for my own work on maps and gave me a different way of thinking.
What excites you about your chosen area of creative practice?
What excites me about Graphic design is the chance to be able to do things in my own unique way and that the fact its so powerful in the world of advertisement.
Why have you chosen to study it further?
i have chosen to study it further because i like having ideas and being able to develope them.
What do you hope to achieve at the end of the 2 years? what would you like to be doing?
I hope to achieve the best grades i am able to and have a greater understanding of the graphic design world.I would like to be designing for a big name company or being self-employed, but aslong as i am doing what i enjoy i will be happy.
What sort of things have you made work or written about or researched specially before? e.g. are you interested in a particular genre, issue, subculture ect?
I have researched lots of different artist in Fine art, Graphic design and illustration, fashoin and also sculpture in my last course. I am mostly interested in researching Graphic designers and illustrators to give me inspiration for my own work and help me move my ideas onto the next step.
What excites you now?
Just being able to have the chance of being able what i want to do in the future.
What sort of arts, design, performance,media event ect do you go and see, or take part in?
The last thing i took part in was a end of year show for my last course which was a display of my work through the year. The last exhibit i went to was the Banksy one in Bristol.
